Job Overview

The ICRC Delegation in Libya has a vacancy for:
Housekeepers (4 positions)
The position will be based in the Tripoli Sub Delegation

Main responsibilities:

  • Provides cleaning/housekeeping/laundry services for the ICRC premises;
  • Prepares coffee and tea if assigned at the office;
  • Informs the supervisor about any issues regarding the premises (materials needed out to carry out duties, malfunctioning equipment, damaged furniture or premises);
  • Knows the place of fire extinguisher and how to use them;
  • Takes care of water reserves;
  • Checks the cleaning products/inventory (inform the direct supervisor when stock is low);

Required background, skills and experience:

  • Primary school level
  • Similar work experience desirable
  • Basic knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of basic Hygiene principles
  • Good physical condition
  • Excellent organizational and methodical abilities, sense of initiative and pro-activeness
  • Service-oriented, with a strong sense of priorities and flexibility
  • Interest for humanitarian activities (especially ICRC’s)
