Job Description
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Resource Management unit and direct supervision of the Information Technology /Database officer, the Information Management Assistant is responsible for support all aspects and functions of the Information Management tools, including IOM emergency response, data collection activities and various activities or projects which may develop within the Information Management & Technology.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- Support to ensure proper Implementation of the Information Management tools in the mission, including database development, testing, data entry and quality assurance of Information management products.
- Coordinate with mission’s programs to ensure accurate and systematic data collection of IOM daily work.
- Train and support fieldwork related to survey and assessment, database assistants in the use.
- Assist in coordination and implementation of Information Management related activities including capacity building activities.
- Assist in designing and implementation of the mission’s reporting tools. Help ensure timely and accuracy of all data and information products provided by IOM Libya.
- Assist in performing quality control (QC) on all products generated and disseminated by IOM including data and maps, Archives IOM geographic data and maintains the mission’s IM database tools.
- Organize and participate in the delivery of trainings on IM-related tools.
- Support coordination of the approval process with ICT in Cairo and HQ.
- Follow IOM Data protection principles when dealing with beneficiaries data or any other work related Data.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Finance, Accounting or a related field from an accredited academic institution with at least one year of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- University degree in Computer Science, or related area from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience in Data Management or Information management,
- Good knowledge of experience in software development using the following tools: SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), ASP.NET, Microsoft .NET Framework and MS Power BI.
Languages
Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
