Job Description& key responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Supervision: Provide expert leadership to the microbiology lab team, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment.
2. Lab Operations Management: Oversee daily lab operations, including sample processing, testing, and result reporting, to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
3. Quality Control: Implement and enforce rigorous quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of microbiological testing and analysis.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols within the microbiology laboratory.
5. Staff Training and Development: Train and mentor lab personnel, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the team stays at the forefront of microbiological advancements.
6. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse and interpret microbiological data, contribute to the preparation of detailed reports, and communicate findings effectively.
7. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reliability

Job Requirements

• A graduate of the college of chemistry, chemical engineering or medical analysis.
• Minimum of 10  TEN YEARS of hands-on experience in a microbiology lab setting.
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of successfully managing and supervising lab teams.
• In-depth knowledge of microbiological testing techniques, procedures, and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
