Role objectives | RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Undertake regular protection monitoring visits along MHPSS staff to assigned locations where migrants, IDPs, returnees and vulnerable host communities may reside, prepare protection assessment and monitoring reports. 2. Conduct vulnerability screenings and in-depth assessments in assigned locations to help identify urgent needs and make all necessary referrals. 3. Assist in preparing and planning to provide regular, timely and comprehensive follow-up in coordination with specialized protection colleagues and under the supervision of the Senior Protection Assistant. 4. Supports in facilitating community dialogues and focus group discussions to identify protection risks, trends, capacities, and coping strategies to inform protection programming and to ensure community participation in ongoing activities. 5. In collaboration with other relevant MHPSS colleagues, assists in conducting ongoing mapping for vulnerable communities and service providers as required. 6. Provides support in facilitating events with key stakeholders and partners in the field on selected protection concerns if required. 7. Participate in awareness raising events and support IOM in trainings and workshops arranged by IOM and partners if required. 8. Maintain up-to-date records and promptly complete all data entry and reporting requirements. 9. Carry out administrative duties as requested. 10. Participate in all relevant meetings. 11. Perform other duties as may be assigned. |

Further information | SKILLS
· Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Mimosa system · Knowledge of Protection principles and protection case management · Strong communication skills. Internals of the Organization and NMS candidates, as well as external female candidates, will be considered as first-tier candidates. This vacancy is also open to second-tier candidates. The appointment is subject to funding confirmation.
