Finance Manager is a key executive position responsible for managing the financial aspects of the organization. He/ She typically reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Job Location: Headquarter in Tripoli.

Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
– Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets
– Forecast future financial performance and identify areas for improvement
– Provide recommendations to enhance profitability and operational efficiency
2. Financial Reporting:
– Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and disclosures
-Prepare the bank reconciliation statement monthly and provide any information resulting from the reconciliation.
– Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
3. Financial Operations:
– Manage day-to-day financial operations, including cash management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial systems
– Ensure efficient and effective financial processes and internal controls
4. Financial Compliance:
– Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies
– Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to maintain accurate financial reporting and legal adherence
5. Strategic Planning:
– Provide financial insights and analysis to support business planning and growth initiatives
– Assess the financial viability of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions
6. Budgeting and Financial Planning:
– Collaborate with the grants department to develop the organization’s overall budget
– Ensure financial plans are aligned with the strategic objectives of the grants department and the organization
7. Cash Flow Management:
– Work closely with the grants department to effectively manage cash flow, ensuring the organization has adequate funds to meet its financial obligations
8. Archiving Management:
– Maintain comprehensive financial records and archives in hardcopies and software for the organization
9. Reporting:
– Establish reporting schedules that outline the frequency of reporting from each department, which can be weekly, biweekly, or monthly as determined by the organization’s needs.
– Follow a standardized reporting format that provides clear and concise information to the CEO, either weekly or monthly, as per the specific requirements
10. Timelines:
– Ensure the importance of timely reporting, with all departments submitting their reports within the specified timeframes to provide the Finance Manager with up-to-date information for decision-making and addressing any issues or challenges.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
– 4 years of experience in a finance management role, in a non-profit or grant-funded organization.
– Strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
– Proficient in financial software and data analysis tools
– proficient in Microsoft office software especially Excel
– Excellent communication and presentation skills
– Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
– Thorough knowledge of relevant accounting standards and financial regulations
Any other duties as required by the CEO.
