Drilling Engineering Coordinator

OPC is a leading global energy consultancy specialising in providing clients with top-tier expertise and innovative solutions across the upstream E&P, Gas and CO2 storage domains.
We are looking for consultants for one of our clients in Libya for the following position:
Position: Drilling Engineering Coordinator
Expected starting date : 1st September 2024 for 12 months.
Location: Tripoli Libya
Scope of work:

• Prepare call for tender for purchasing equipment and services contracts related to drilling operations, design drilling work program
• Ensure administrative links between drilling department and related service contracts
• Ensure QA/QC of engineering data
• Prepare feasibility studies on future wells and new technologies
• Coach and train junior drilling engineers, review end of well reports
• Establish drilling benchmarks and follow up KPIs and ALIs, focus on long-term projects and carry out risk assessment
• Update well profiles and engineering files in drilling department software, prepare drilling feasibility and calculations for future wells
• Focus on knowledge management, represent new technologies, prepare input for presentations, and prepare all material for workshops with owners..

Requirements:

• Education: BSc. Petroleum engineering.
• Experience: a minimum of 10 years’ experience in drilling Activities combined between field and office.
• Required competencies: good working knowledge of API, IWCF standardization.
• Good experience of deal with LANDMARK, Pipe Sim & Prosper design software
• Understanding of modelling techniques and methods.
• Good Knowledge of contracts & Financial aspects
• Keen to train and share his experience to junior staff
