Job Summary
Fabricators are manufacturers of assorted products using various raw materials, tools and their own hands. Their primary responsibilities include reading and understanding assembly instructions, ensuring that the required parts are present and meeting quality control standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
- Constructing base templates if necessary.
- Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.
- Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears.
- Double-checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work.
- Fabricating and constructing metal components.
- Grinding and finishing completed products.
- Performing quality checks on completed products.
- Completing job reports.
Job Specification
Vocational Training: At a university or institute level. Specialized in a branch of applied science or ’Mechanical Engineering.
Vocational Career: Approximately 10 years experience in a relevant field.

- Knowledge of cement industry best practices and safety procedures
- Attention to accuracy / Precision
- Ability to propose innovative solutions
- Reading plans, digrams & sketshs
- Current and valid certification a plus
- Experience working on construction sites and with power tools
