Key responsibilities:
The Trainer under the supervision of the Programme Officer is responsible for the creation of contents of training to be delivered online via INTERSOS’ Libya and Tunisia mission’s Moodle platform and for the grading of trainees’ assignments.
Responsibilities/duties:
- S/he will be responsible for the development and design of quality trainings for INTERSOS field-based staff and projects’ beneficiaries.
- S/he will set up completion timings in proportion to training’s’ length.
- S/he will ensure training’s’ contents are in line with the Libyan Ministry of Education, INTERSOS and donors’ policies and requirements.
- S/he will ensure timely correction of trainees’ assignments and tests, provide constructive ad hoc feedback to trainees’ assignments and tests.
- S/he will support trainees during the course of training for any content-related inquiry.
- S/he will monitor trainees’ submission of assignments and ensure timely correction.
- S/he will coordinate with the MEAL department to sense-check its analysis of monitoring data regarding trainees’ progress in liaison with the Moodle technician.
- S/he will keep a clear record of trainees ensuring confidentiality of data.
- S/he will provide final reports on students’ progress at the end of each training’s’ cycle in cooperation with the ICT technician/Online platform administrator.
Person Specification:
- University degree in education, vocational education and training and/or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience working on education projects in fragile contexts.
- Experience with distance and/or flexible learning and designing education contents in online learning environments.
- Experience working in formal and/or non-formal education settings.
- Knowledge of principles of curriculum design, including catch-up/remedial curricula.
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Proactive and self-motivated to advance the use of technology for education.
- Good leadership skills.
- Respect and non-discriminatory attitude.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Arabic compulsory, proficiency in English, knowledge of French (written and spoken) considered as an asset.
- Knowledge of and experience with applying SPHERE Standards, and Core Humanitarian Standards preferred.
