CPCD is currently operating in several countries including Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Somalia, Lebanon, Ukraine, Morocco, Sudan and South Sudan, with further expansion into North Africa.
We are a consulting company that provides TPM, Research and Assessment, and Capacity Building Services throughout the MENA region. We have worked/are working with clients such as IOM-UN, DRC, Relief International, CARE, Welthungerhilfe, Médecins du Monde, Oxfam, GOAL International, Expertise France, ILO, Solidarités International, GOAL, Baytna, amongst many others.

Objective:
In this role you will work in the Business Development Unit and report to the Technical Managing Director, working closely sometimes with the MERL Projects Manager. Business Development officers and interns will report to the Business Development Specialist/Head. Therefore, we are looking for a strong candidate with exceptional business development skills. In this position, you will be responsible for leading and submitting high quality bids for different clients including UN agencies, I/NGOs and other donors and agencies.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Lead the development of Monitoring, Evaluation and Research bids or proposals and bids as needed with a focus on UN bids and other agencies or INGOs.
- Support the BD staff in preparing and drafting technical proposals for research, external evaluations, endline and baseline assessments, needs assessment, capacity building and market assessments in addition to others needs in this regard.
- Identify bids and opportunities on a regular basis and update the BD tracker
- Attend pre-call meetings and invitations and take notes
- Represent CPCD in all business development meetings
- Ensure all proposal documents are submitted as needed
- Ensure effective client communication during proposal development
- Ensure deadlines are met and respected and ensure proposal trackers are updated
- QA the work of other BD interns and staff as needed
- Perform other duties arising from the nature of the tasks above based on development of business and work activities.
Profile of Potential Candidate:
- Have native English language skills (must) and that is why native English-speaking candidates are highly encouraged to apply
- Strong editing and writing skills
- Strong M&E and research/assessment skills (highly preferrable)
- A relevant university degree (social sciences, conflict management, development studies, etc.)
- Demonstrate an understanding of development/ humanitarian sector
- Excellent skills with Word and Excel
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
- Proven research expertise
- Have an ability to manage different activities and to meet deadlines
- Have particularly good organizational skills, analytical skills, and excellent attention to detail
- Be able to work in a multi-cultural work environment
Organizational Structure:
You will be reporting to the Technical Managing Director and working closely with the business unit junior staff.
