 Job Summary:

The Case Worker will be responsible for providing direct case management and psychosocial services to conflict-affected and displaced women and girls and survivors of GBV in Tawergha. Under the direct supervision of the GBV Manager and in coordination with the medical team and MHPSS counselor, the Case Worker works directly with beneficiaries in the safe space or in-home visit. She will be responsible for assisting individual women and girls as well as families in line with GBV guiding principles and survivor-centered approach and contributes to the information management system.

 Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field- Law psychology, sociology, social work, social sciences, public health.
  • At least 2 year’s relevant experience including a minimum of 1-year implementing protection activities (preferably social work, counseling, and case management) in humanitarian or development settings.
  • A clear understanding of the human rights and commitment to promoting women and girls’ rights to stop GBV.
  •  Demonstrated understanding of the ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for beneficiaries.
  • Understanding and application of case management, psychosocial support, and life skills programming to promote survivor healing and recovery.
  •  Strict adherence to humanitarian and GBV guiding principles and standards as well as organizational policies.
  • Experience in report writing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Kobo.
  • Able to work under pressure and willing to be on call when the need arises.
  • Able and willing to work in a resource-limited and insecure setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  •  Able to work effectively with various personalities and is culturally sensitive.
  • Able to articulate effectively and communicate well with others.
  • Willing to work with a team.
  • Proficiency in Arabic with knowledge in basic verbal and written English preferred.
 OTHER COMMENTS:
  • Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse – Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time by supervisors
