Job Description
- Lead age, gender and ability appropriate activities in the CFS and create a positive and trustful atmosphere while interacting with children and parents, encouraging them to express their needs and ensuring their feeling of safety;
- Help in setting schedules for daily/weekly activities for children, take children’s attendance for each session, keep accurate, daily updated records and safely store them;
- Closely supervise children during group play, ensure they are safe while receiving services in the CFS and appropriately handle any problems that arise in the CFS;
- Liaise with parents and caregivers present at the CDC, carry out awareness raising activities on key Child protection issues if needed and answer questions from community members and parents about what activities are taking place in the CFS;
- Maintain effective communication with parents/caregivers and establish professionals but caring relationships with them and their children;
- Manage educational materials provided by Cesvi and UNICEF and use them for activities with children, identify additional items needed in coordination with relevant departments and procurement procedures;
- Liaise with other teams and make sure internal and external referrals are processed in a timely and confidential manner;
- Other duties as assigned by the CDC CP supervisor to enable and develop CESVI’ programs.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor/Diploma from accredited university in a related field (education, social work, psychology) or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position;
- Sensitivity to and awareness of the psychosocial and developmental needs of children;
- Ability to work under changing and difficult circumstances on the field, maintaining composure and be flexible to conduct activities under any circumstances;
- Understanding of child safeguarding policies and of safe behaviors around and towards children;
- Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to work in challenging environments and ability to adapt in a changing context are required;
Preferable: - Experience in teaching children or implementing recreational activities with children;
- Experience in implementing psychosocial support activities;
- Possession of technical skills such as painting and music.
