About the Job:
Ensure that the office and other work areas are clean. The role contributes to the development of country strategies, which are translated into action plans and day-to-day tasks. A Cleaner is a service industry worker who ensures the workplace is always clean and sanitary. performing a range of duties, including dusting or mopping and sweeping floors. Making sure restrooms and common areas stay fresh by performing routine inspections every day at specified times.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Sweep the office and guesthouse floors and stairs (taking care not to damage electrical equipment on the floor such as UPS, electrical wire etc.).
- Wash the office and guesthouse floors, stairs, and other areas thoroughly at least once a month.
- Dust the desks, walls and cupboards thoroughly (taking care not to damage office equipment on the dusted areas);
- Clean the office and guesthouse sinks, toilets, and washrooms once a day.
- Clear and dispose of the rubbish from the office and guesthouse at least once a day.
- Always keep the kitchen clean, including cleaning the inside of the fridge once per week.
- Clean the guest house (vacuuming, washing floors, sweeping, clean kitchen, bathroom, etc.) when needed.
- Carry out basic garden work, such as cutting the grass, watering all the plants, and keeping the garden clean by regularly removing trash from the garden.
- At least two times a week, collect and dispose of all waste that has been gathered on DRC property outside the building.
- Inform the line manager of any repairs or replacements required or any maintenance issues in the office.
- Keep a monthly inventory of the cleaning supplies (such as cleaning fluid, trash bags, soap, toilet paper, etc.) and refreshments (such as drinking water, sugar, and coffee, etc.) that are required and notify the line manager when necessary.
- Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
About you
To be successful in this role we expect the following:
Required
- Minimum of 1 year proven working experience as a Cleaner.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- knowledge of plants and gardening techniques.
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Integrity
Desirable
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic
- Knowledge of English languages is considered as asset

We offer:
Contract length: 3 months contract
Designation of Duty Station: Tripoli, Libya
