Code-Documentation Job Description
We are looking for a Java programmer whose job is going to be learning and documenting frameworks and libraries that we have built. We have many frameworks and libraries that we have built throughout the years, mainly in Java, and need someone who is dedicated to writing documentation for those frameworks and libraries. In addition to learning about these frameworks and libraries, the candidate will be responsible for building webpages that contain detailed descriptions for how these frameworks and libraries work. Also, the candidate will be responsible for training existing and new developers on how to use these frameworks and libraries. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining these documentations and keeping them up-to-date with the new changes to these frameworks and libraries.
Required Skills
- 3+ Years of experience in HTML, CSS.
- A good understanding of the Java Language.
- A good understanding of the JavaScript language is a plus.
- You should be able to convert poorly written documentation to detailed well-written and organized documentation that are easy to follow by someone who wants to learn about these frameworks and documentation.
- You should be willing to learn how to use these frameworks and libraries. In addition, you will be responsible for trying them and building examples and scenarios to include in the documentation.
- You should know how to build webpages using HTML and CSS.
- You should know how to use version control systems such as Git (Git the system not GitHub the website).
- Knowledge in Linux operating systems (specifically Debian Linux distributions such as Ubuntu) is a plus. If you are using Linux as your main operating system, it is a big plus.
- Good communication skills.
- You should be able to communicate effectively with other developers either to teach them about the frameworks and the libraries, inform them about changes in these frameworks and libraries, or get information from them about new changes and updates to these frameworks and libraries to update the documentation.
- Very good English writing skills. The documentation will be written in English.
