Position: Community center volunteer
Report to: Center manager Status: Non-employment agreement Duty station: Ajdabyia – Community center with possibility to travel |
Key responsibilities:
S/he will be responsible, under the supervision of the center manager, for supporting the community center activities, facilitating, and organizing the planned activities in collaboration with the community center team in the static and mobile activities.
Responsibilities/duties:
- Support the outreach activities, by Identifying and referring protection risks and vulnerable populations to case workers in Ajdabiya.
- Support the outreach team during conducting the household assessment.
- Support the social workers in activities preparation, education classes, better parenting, and life skills sessions.
- Assist the team in data entry and archiving the verification documents according to the center manager instruction.
- Attending and actively contribute to the project meeting, providing regular feedbacks.
Other responsibilities:
- Uphold the INTERSOS Code of Conduct and policies;
- Ensure the respect of the core humanitarian principles: neutrality, impartiality, independence and humanity and the respect of the “do no harm” principle of humanitarian action.
- Strictly follow the internal procedures and guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Study background: Bachelor degree/ undergraduate from university, community college
- Experience: Fresh graduate or previous volunteer experience
- Soft skills: Strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal and intercultural skills, ability to deal with children.
- Communication skills: good communication skills , ability to express and communicate clearly (verbal and written).
- Languages Arabic, English will be an advantage
