Construction Superintending SPT

Job Description

The Construction Superintending is responsible for the planning and upfront engineering of all small projects, plant modification activities in the existing facilities along with technical assistance and input into larger projects. For all activities he must prepare a detailed scope of works to allow the contractor to produce a technical/ offer for expenditure approval against the budget. If required.
After completion of works the Construction Superintending must ensure that all relevant documentation (e.g. P&ID, PFD and layouts/maps, etc) will be updated as part of the project close out.
For all project related activities under responsibility of the Projects and Construction department the field construction section shall provide field support for technical knowledge and logistics.
Directly reporting to the Construction Superintending is/are the Construction supervisors, Draftsmen, Civil Engineer, the Electrical Engineer, and the Construction Superintending Assistance.

Job Requirements

• Ensure that all actions identified in the Companies HSE plan for the Construction Superintending are completed as per plan and progress reported to the HSE Coordinator on a monthly basis.
• Monitor that all company Safety Procedures are adhered to and identify improvements where possible.
• On a daily basis monitor all field activities are executed within the Companies Environmental objectives.
• Ensure HSE audits are carried out in accordance with specified requirements
