Drive Test Engineer

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Assist Radio Frequency Engineer in cell site troubleshooting. Examples include dropped calls, poor coverage, and overloaded circuits.
• Proactively identify and escalate areas with network coverage issues, poor network services, loss of signal strength and data service faults on the network.
• Conduct required drive tests and walk tests for customer complaints.
• Perform live optimization changing RF data on 2G, 3G, 4G sites/sectors.
• Ability to work with a team of engineers to perform RF network optimization.
• Conduct voice and data drive tests for 2G, 3G, 4G for cluster optimization.
• Pre-acceptance voice and data tests for new sites on all technologies
• Analyzed logs of Radio tool for identifying issues in the coverage and quality area.
• Proactively identify and escalate areas with network coverage issues and faults in the network.
• Solve customer complaint.
• Carry out speed tests for benchmarking performance with other operators.
• Collaborate with Business Support Service team to solve network issues.
• Ability to work with a team of engineers to perform Radio Frequency network optimization.

Personal Specification

Education & Experience

• University Degree in Electrical Engineering/Telecom Engineering
• At least 2yrs working experience with vendor
• Must be familiar with radio network configurations for 2G, 3G and 4G
• Must be familiar with the use of radio tools  Actix TEMS, Mapifo and Google Earth.
