Education Focal Point in East – Libya
The Education Focal Point is the referent for all the Education Activities implemented in the region with a particular focus on the Education Cannot Wait program.

Objective 1: In charge of developing and running the project in his/her area:
- Referent to the ECW activities, including 1st and 2nd shifts.
- Conduct a thorough needs assessment to identify education gaps and challenges in the designated area.
- Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining objectives, activities, timelines, and resources needed.
- Collaborate with the Education Coordinator and other relevant stakeholders to design educational interventions tailored to the local context.
- Recruit and train local staff such as teachers and social workers to implement the project effectively.
- Monitor project progress regularly and adjust strategies as needed to ensure goals are met.
Objective 2: Liaise with the target schools and represent TDH IT with the school principals.
- Establish partnerships with local organizations, government agencies, and community leaders to enhance project sustainability and reach.
- Establish communication channels with target schools to facilitate collaboration and information exchange.
- Organize meetings with school principals to discuss project objectives, activities, and potential areas of partnership.
- Provide regular updates to school principals on project progress and achievements.
- Address any concerns or issues raised by school principals in a timely manner.
Objective 3: Focal Point for families with out of school children in school age residing in the targeting area
- Advocate for the inclusion of marginalized children and ensure equal access to education opportunities within schools.
- Conduct outreach activities to identify and engage families with school-aged children in the community.
- Provide information and support to families regarding available educational opportunities and resources.
- Facilitate enrollment of children in schools and address any barriers to access, such as financial constraints or transportation issues.
- Organize awareness sessions on the importance of education and child rights within the community.
- Collaborate with local authorities and organizations to address the specific needs of vulnerable families and children.
Objective 4 : Reports, Capitalization and Communication
- Prepare regular reports documenting project activities, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Ensure timely submission of reports to the Head of Programme and Edu Coordinator.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and capitalization of best practices within the organization and with external partners.
- Maintain open communication channels with the Education Coordinator, Protection and Education Teams, and other relevant stakeholders.
Objective 5: Represents TDH IT in field base multi agency and overall interagency cluster when appropriate
- Represent TDH IT in field-based multi-agency and interagency cluster meetings to share updates, coordinate activities, and advocate for the needs of beneficiaries.
And any other duties that seemed relevant to the position and assigned by the line manager.
Requirements:
- Master in education, social sciences.
- Experience 1 to 2 years in outreach in the same area, preferably in INGO
- Fluent in Arabic and English
- Driving License
- Very good knowledge of the region and its challenges.
- Leadership, Teamwork, Communication, Planning, and Organizing.
