Position: Educator

Key responsibilities: (explain the main responsibilities)
S/he will be responsible, under the supervision of the Center manager and the technical support of the Social workers, for the Implementation of Non- Formal Education sessions and PSS activities, for all Beneficiaries attending BAITY Center or enrolled in outreach cycle.
Responsibilities/duties: (list the responsibilities)
- Under the supervision of the center manager, s/he will guarantee the implementation of the planned Educational activities (NFE).
- Under the supervision of the center manager, s/he will guarantee the implementation of the planned Psychosocial support activities (PSS).
- assist in preparing and construct NFE plans for the Subjects / Age groups they’ve been assigned by the Center manager.
- Implement Non- formal education sessions, following a student – centered teaching methods, that is inclusive, and activity based.
- Ensure a safe and Inclusive environment within the classroom, adhering to child protection principles, and report and share with the center manager comments and ideas on creating this environment.
- Follow Positive discipline techniques when interacting with the children.
- Maintain the state of the furniture and supplies provided in the classroom.
- Follow the schedule for NFE sessions set by the Center manager.
- Inform Social workers of any abnormal behaviors or temperaments in the children.
- Follow the set mechanism in referring suspected BNFs to the case management unit.
- S/he will perform any other tasks requested by the center Manager and/or by the Supervisor in the framework of the activities foreseen by INTERSOS program in Libya.
Other responsibilities:
- Uphold the INTERSOS Code of Conduct and policies;
- Ensure the respect of the core humanitarian principles: neutrality, impartiality, independence and humanity and the respect of the “do no harm” principle of humanitarian action.
- Strictly follow the internal procedures and guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor degree or a high school diploma.
- Language test score or equivalent proof of competency in the English language.
- previous teaching experiences
- Prefer previous experience in volunteering and humanitarian work
- Basic competency in Microsoft office package
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work in a fast paced and stressful work environment
- English, Arabic: Mandatory
- French is a welcomed addition.
