Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer – PLC / Automation is responsible for design specifications and other detailed documentation for their creations. They must be excellent trouble-shooters and must stay current on technology.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting & repair of equipment of plant section assigned and shall be responsible the following:
- Maintenance, calibration, functional check of instruments & equipment as per defined schedules & procedures.
- Maintenance, programming & troubleshooting of DCS, PLC and other control systems.
- Breakdown maintenance & repair/replacement/rectification jobs.
- Designs, programs, simulate and test automated machinery and processes.
- Responsible for design specifications and other detailed documentation for their creations.
- Performs any other assignments and tasks related to the business needs of the company, as per company management direction.
Job Specification
Vocational Training: A high school diploma or more preferably an associate degree in Electrical / Automation is required
Vocational Career: Approximately 10 years experience in a relevant field.

Skills and Ability
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical maintenance operations
- Basic knowledge of process automation used in a dry process plant.
- Knowledge of maintenance, calibration, functional check, repair & troubleshooting of basic field instruments used in cement plant- different types of sensors, switches, transmitters, controllers etc used for measurement & control of flow, level, pressure, temperature, vibration etc.
- Knowledge of maintenance, calibration check, repair & trouble shooting techniques for equipment like Gas analyzers, Weighing systems, Variable speed drives, UPS, XRF, Scanners, Pyrometers etc.
- Knowledge of maintenance, programming & troubleshooting techniques for Distributed Control systems & Programmable logic controllers.
- Ability to study & understand drawings & documents
