About the role
The enumerator will be responsible for administering surveys, conducting interviews, and collecting data from participants to assess the effectiveness and impact of training. The enumerator’s role will involve interacting with participants, recording responses, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity throughout the enumeration process.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection: conduct interviews with training participants to collect relevant data. Ensure that all data is accurately recorded and organized.
- Timely Reporting: Submit completed surveys, interview notes, and other data collection materials within established timelines.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Cross-check completed surveys for completeness and follow up with participants, if necessary, to clarify any ambiguous or missing responses. Collaborate with supervisors or data managers to resolve data discrepancies or inconsistencies.
- Training Evaluation: Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of training programs by collecting feedback and evaluating participant satisfaction. Record participant suggestions, comments, and recommendations accurately.
- Participant Engagement: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with training participants. Foster a comfortable and inclusive environment to encourage open and candid responses. Address any participant concerns or difficulties encountered during the data collection process.
- Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality and data privacy throughout the data collection process.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the project team to ensure the smooth implementation of the data collection process.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as an enumerator is preferable yet not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with participants from various backgrounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and recording.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive participant information ethically.
- Proficiency in using electronic devices (e.g., tablets, smartphones) for data collection.
- Good organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in various training environments, and to adapt to changing schedules or project requirements.
