Position: Field supervisor
Type of contract: Employment Full term – 4 months, with 1 month trial period
Starting date: ASAP – November 2020
Monthly gross salary range: To be defined according to the candidate’s profile

Job description

The field officer will work closely with Field Engineers, the Protection officer and the local implementing partner. S/he will be directly supervised by the Field & Security Coordinator. S/he will coordinate the need assessment of the target health and educational facilities and the overall implementation of an integrated protection program in the target locations. S/he will supervise the work of the implementing partner in the targeted facilities. S/he will facilitate the implementation of the community awareness and multi-sectorial response (WASH, Shelter, Protection).

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Conduct field need assessments
• Supervise and provide support to the implementing partner’s field engineers in identifying the most appropriate multi-sectorial response (WASH, Shelter)
• Facilitate procurement of materials from approved suppliers working in close collaboration with GVC supply chain team and in line with organizational and donor policies, systems and procedures
• Conduct regular and ongoing monitoring and reporting
• Ensure efficient utilization and full accountability for the project resources
• Support the M&E officer in the implementation and regular collection of the Sources of Verifications
• Conduct staff and community trainings and other capacity building initiatives
• Coordinate the field implementation of the awareness campaign in the community in close collaboration with the CPA officer
• Prepare district work-plan and progress reports as defined by the project guidelines
• Facilitate the implementation of appropriate training needs local communities and implementing partner
• Conduct and contribute to regular coordination meetings
• Participate in any other job related activities assigned by superiors

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Knowledge
• Computer literate – Basic MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project.
• Arabic native speaker.
• Proficient knowledge of spoken and written and English.
• High Diploma or University degree.

Professional experience
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.

Personal skills
• Good time-management and organizational skills.
• Team player.
• Good interpersonal skills including ability to gain trust, build relationships and promote team spirit.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of beneficiaries at all times.
