Position : Finance Assistant

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ABA seeks a Finance Assistant (FA) to provide overall financial support for ABA ROLI’s programs in Libya through a wide range of financial responsibilities. The FA will report to the Field Finance Manager (FFM) and ABA Libya Country Director.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Field Finance Manager in the development and implementation of administrative systems, including personnel, finance, budgeting, property, customs/shipping, travel, and mail.
- Organize expense receipts, assign budget codes, input key information into electronic finance logbook.
- Comply monthly expense report and respond to inquiries.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly cash forecast.
- Assist with the office banking, including drafting of checks, inter-bank transfers and other banking documents.
- Process payroll, timesheets, and local staff and tax payments.
- Maintain both electronic and hard copy administrative records, fully ensure the confidentiality of records.
- Support event organization utilizing effective organizational tools such as checklists, task lists and reports.
- Assist with preparation of contracts as requested.
- Assist in petty cash payments
- Assist in Social Security and Salary Tax payments
- Establish and maintains good relations with government offices, banks and vendors.
English required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in finances or accounting
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in finances or accounting.
- Experience working in Libya.
- Demonstrated ability to manage work on multiple programs at once in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work remotely or with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in Arabic and English; and
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
