Health promoters are the essential liaison point between MSF and our services, and the community in which we provide services.
As a Health Promoter (HP), you will work in projects to conduct activity to address a range of health issues, focusing mainly on COVID-19 H.P including (psychosocial support and reassurance, general information about method of transmission, preventive measures).
You will provide a direct link to the community outside the walls of the office, and will play a vital role in ensuring that MSF activities are accessible and relevant to the communities they serve.

Responsibilities
- Support of the medical activities; this might include promoting medical services, hygiene promotion.
- Participate and follow updates on the COVID HP strategy and evaluation of activities through meetings and trainings (identification, target population dynamic, messages, activities, etc.)
- Understand local behavior and/or practices to adapt health related activities to the target group (Use of specific tools to measure and follow up activities)
- Promote MSF services according to MSF principles, protocols and standards with the aim of increasing the knowledge of the target population in relation to COVID 19
- Participate in reports according to guidelines when needed (statistical reports, etc.)
Depending on our activities and needs, your responsibilities may be adapted and evolve according to the specific project.
You will not face these challenges alone; other MSF team members (both international and locally hired staff) will provide comprehensive technical support and guidance.
Requirements
- Readiness to work in Emergency Response COVID 19 when identified by the organization or context.
- Versatile paramedical or psychosocial profile is preferred. However, ability to deliver information to target population is mandatory.
- Experience working with communities and/or local associations on awareness raising, prevention and HP.
- Flexible and able to work on various topics with few medical background.
- Good in English and/or French.
- Available for a minimum of three months

- Willingness to work in different kinds of contexts.
- Self-driven with a solution-oriented approach.
Assets
- Medical, psychosocial or teaching work experience.
- Experience working in communities.
- Good communication skills and people interactions.
