Main Functions:
Zallaf Goal Specific:
- Perform work in accordance to Zallaf HSE policies and procedures.
- Implement and endorse Zallaf “Keys to Success” and “Core Value” strategies.
Job Specific:
- Provide information, advice and support to cross departments managers & employees regarding Health, safety and environmental legislation, practices and procedures, promoting, with management, a safety culture within the workplace ensuring that all levels of employees are aware, accept and understand their responsibilities about health, safety and environmental issues.
- Encouraging shared learning, consistency, good practice in terms of HSE throughout the HSE Team.
- Hold monthly safety meetings and maintain records, discuss action items and follow up for cross Company departments.
- Follow up and advice for HSE procedures, JMP ensuring implementation and updating.
- Report all HSE matters and issues to Zallaf HSSE.
- Provide required information’s, reports to Zallaf HSSE Manager.
- Provide and cover all required information’s of the contractor’s tenders HSE issues.
- Give support & consultancy to managers, supervisors.
- Supervise & follow up general inspection & Audit on all company premises.
- Organize required training for employees with HSE training.
- Provide support and consistency to managers, supervisor and HSE team members.
- Compile plans and initiatives to improve the HSE culture between employees.
Risk Assessment/Site Inspection:
- Ensure that site inspections and risk assessments are carried out on a regular basis and that remedial action is taken on any non-compliance aspect.
Accident /incident/noncompliance Reporting:
- Monitor the HSE component of the “First Alert” incident reporting system, ensuring that all employees are aware of the duty to report all incidents, accidents and near misses.
- Ensure that all reported accidents are investigated, and that remedial action is taken to prevent reoccurrence and to reduce Accident Frequency Rates.
- Gather and report each month to the HSE First Alert, accident statistics using the Monthly Safety Summary.
- Report all incidents which qualify to be reported.
HSE Performance Measurement:
Administer the operation of the performance measuring system, ensuring the maintenance of all Training and Action Item data.
Training:
- Conduct training or ensure training is conducted in accordance with hazards identified via the risk assessments carried out and to comply with legislative requirements.
- Ensure that all training is recorded on Training database and in manual files as required.
- Participate in new employee induction programme.
Environment:
- Administer Waste Management Programmed to ensure compliance with the Environmental Protection Act, Special Waste Regulations etc.
- Ensure that the facility Trade Effluent Discharge is controlled.
- Ensure that good practice is adhered to in the environmental performance of Zallaf and NOC and Environmental authorities.
Occupational Health:
- Liaise with Occupational health practitioners on any issues identified within the workplace and to ensure that tests such as eudiometry are conducted.
- Ensure chemical Assessments are carried out and remedial actions addressed.
Reporting:
- Submit Tempo report at the end of each month to relevant district Managers together with statistical information as required on accidents …etc.
- Other duties/tasks and assisting in other areas of company as deemed required by HSSE Manager.

- Exposure to hazardous materials and safety critical situations.
- Using appropriate safety wear and precautions in according with the Zallaf HSE Policies and Procedures.
- Comply with all company HSE initiatives and directives.
