HSE Technician – (onshore desert)

Oil & Gas Production Company is seeking to hire a HSE Technician – (onshore desert)

OBJECTIVES OF JOB

The Field HSE Technician role is to support the HSE field management in HSE matters and in updating the inventories for the gas detection and BA equipment. If required, he will stand in for the field HSE supervisors under the supervision of the HSE-Coordinator

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for all HSE equipment storage containers and outside HSE storage area.
• Responsible for the ERT team’s container and the equipment stored inside.
• Maintenance of fire extinguishers (e.g. check, refill, repair).
• Maintenance of water monitors, hydrants (e.g. clean, check).
• Testing of basic emergency equipment (e.g. emergency showers, fire hoses).
• Completing all monthly checks on safety related equipment.
• Being responsible for the periodic checks of the Fire Fighting truck and the ERT vehicle.
• Responsible for the incinerator, briefing of operators, assuring the function of the device and the record keeping.
• Monitoring the mobile gas detector and Breathing apparatus inventory, includes keeping distribution lists up to date, basic maintenance, calibration, keeping spare parts inventory up to date.
• Assist HSEC in the preparation of emergency exercises.
• ERT member

PLUS  –   ANY OTHER APPROPRIATE DUTIES.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic knowledge of English language
• Mechanical background is preferable but not essential
• Trained how to do the dry powder extinguisher checks.
• Competent on GMS – basic level for feedback of completed jobs
• Driving license
