Job Overview

Key responsibilities:
The ICT technician/Online platform administrator under the supervision of the Programme Officer is responsible for the technical administration of INTERSOS’ Libya and Tunisia mission’s Moodle platform, the upload of training to the platform and the enrollment of its users.
Responsibilities/duties:
- S/he will be responsible for the creation of a dedicated space on the platform for each specific training
- S/he will review and convert training to Moodle requirements
- S/he will correctly and coherently upload the training’s’ material on the platform
- S/he will create ad hoc certificates to be delivered upon successful completion of training.
- S/he will provide technical mentor ship to INTERSOS staff and students on how to effectively use the platform
- S/he will enroll teachers and students to the platform
- S/he will ensure coherence, correct and timely use of the platform by trainers and trainees,
- S/he will support trainers and trainees with troubleshooting related to the technical use of the platform,
- S/he will keep a clear and confidential record of trainees and teachers.
- S/he will support the MEAL department in monitoring the activities related to Moodle under his/her responsibility (ex. tracking trainees’ progress and attendance).
- S/he will support in the creation of visual charts to track progress via DataStudio.
- S/he will coordinate with the MEAL department to sense-check its analysis of monitoring data regarding trainees’ progress, keep a clear record of all trainees, ensure confidentiality of data and provide regular updates as required to the MEAL department and Programme Officer.
- S/he will submit a training’s’ progress report bi-weekly to the Programme Officer and MEAL department.
- S/he will ensure all reports, charts and training’s’ material related to Moodle are stored in dedicated folders on INTERSOS’ Libya and Tunisia mission’s Google Drive.
Person Specification:
- University Degree in Education Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Graphic Design or related field.
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Knowledge of DataStudio considered as an asset.
- Proactive and self-motivated to advance the use of technology for education.
- Good leadership skills.
- Respect and non-discriminatory attitude.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Arabic compulsory, proficiency in English, knowledge of French (written and spoken) considered as an asset.
- Knowledge of and experience with applying SPHERE Standards, and Core Humanitarian Standards preferred.
