Position Purpose
|
Lead overall company Information Technology strategy, capabilities, development and operations. Direct and support the strategy implementation for information technology systems under the guidance of the Tafani CEO. Approve all aspects of the development and implementation of IT related projects including administration, production and business applications. Supervise IT staff focused on the mission and IT needs. Support CEO on function related activities and decisions collaborating across. | ||||||
Main Duties and Responsibilities | Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) | ||||||
1. Direct the design, planning, development, implementation and operation of IT related systems and solutions for Tafani;
2. Initiate strategies, plans, specifications and guidelines for all IT systems in alignment with the CEO and key internal stakeholders; 3. Review, analyze, standardize, recommend, authorize, implement, and supports cost-effective IT solutions for Tafani; 4. Check continuously all internal processes in order to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of Information Technology unit as well as implement improvement measures; 5. Review activities within all units with regard to compliance to legal requirements and internal regulation with respect to IT; 6. Standardize written policies, standards, and procedures for technology acquisition and utilization according to defined IT strategy; 7. Direct the IT units and lead the IT team in such a way that establishes that the unit’s goals are achieved in line with the overall corporate objectives; 8. Authorize and coordinate the resources of the Information Technology unit staff; 9. Approve recommendations on the entire unit’s budget and manage the approved budget; 10. Review performance of assigned employees and follow up on mismatches.

Minimum Requirements | |||||||
Education: | · Bachelor degree in engineering/IT required.
· MBA or Masters Degree in business preferred. |
||||||
Work experience: | · 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 5+ years at the Director (or similar) level ,holding budget accountability with a demonstrable track record of success supervising the team in a technical/IT capacity required;
· Experience in Libya and/or in the MENA region preferred; · Exposure to international business is a plus. |

Knowledge & Functional/Technical Skills: | · Expert understanding of Tafani’s business and corporate strategy and how it relates to Information Technology;
· Expert knowledge of the principles and practices of IT operations, information technology for telecom and banks sectors; · Expert IT knowledge with a particular focus on the Libyan market is preferable; · Expert knowledge of state of the art developments in information technology; · Expert knowledge of principles and practices of supervision, organization, administration and management; · Expert managerial skills and drive to lead, motivate and manage the team with an acumen towards creating strategic initiatives related to profitability measures; · Expert knowledge and deep technical expertise in IT technologies, high-tech products, and communication infrastructure with special regard to telecom & Banks; · Advanced ability to plan, organize and direct the work of a technical staff; · Advanced ability to make decision in a consistent manner; · Fluency in Arabic and English languages required. |
