Job description

Overview of position | Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.
Under the overall guidance of the Migration Health Coordinator in close coordination with the Protection Coordinator, and under the direct supervision of the field health coordinator and the medical officer (ATD), the incumbent is responsible for assisting the health team in provision of comprehensive nursing care services in the IOM Protection Community Hosting program. The incumbent will provide medical support and care to migrants. |

Further information | · At least 3 years of previous clinical experience at hospitals/health facilities
· Experience in the context of humanitarian situations; and experience of working within the health system of Libya would be preferred.
· Experience in assisting the health services for migrants, refugee and displaced persons and other vulnerable groups; including early recovery or post crisis emergency health programming would be an added advantage
· Experience of organizing community outreach medical services would be advantageous
Experience in liaising with government authorities would be preferred |
