Field Site: Tripoli with frequent visits to Misrata.

Job Summary:
The Outreach Officer is responsible for ensuring that planned community services are provided to the identified people of concern in the communities. The Outreach Officer is also expected to work closely with the Medical Coordinator other technical staff (MHPSS, GBV, and M&E) to enhance the implementation of outreach activities focusing on issues impacting the health and wellbeing of the supported communities.
(S)he will participate actively in the definition, planning, implementation, and reporting of all outreach activities in the supported communities. The Outreach officer will directly implement outreach activities, such as group support, organized community-wide activities. (S)he is also expected to collect feedback and provide input and guidance on IMC’s outreach strategy and materials, while also ensuring good coordination between IMC and community leaders.
Main Tasks:
Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
Management and leadership
- Manage and supervise the outreach workers’ teams including team leaders in Tripoli and Misrata.
2. Follow up with all HR related issues of the outreach teams
3. Collaborate in the design of outreach activities according to the needs and standards of the community.
4. In collaboration with IMC technical leads, ensure proper strategy and design of community outreach activities that fit the
project needs, ensure implementation and monitoring of the activities.
5. Being the focal point for all the queries related to the outreach activities in the community
6. Ensure that all referrals are conducted in a safe and secure manner in consultation with the technical leads.
Community engagement
7. Responsible for ensuring that community services are provided as needed
8. Support in conducting community‐based assessments within the community.
9. Establish a good relationship with the community in the project area.
10. Ensure and encourage the engagement of women and girls in assessments and activities
Capacity building
11. Assist technical leads with identifying capacity needs and priorities.
12. Develop training plans based on identified needs and support technical leads with facilitating/co‐facilitating required training.
M&E
13. Responsible for making sure that the collection and consolidation of beneficiary data by the outreach workers are being reported in a timely manner
14. Monitoring, compiling, and reporting the data gathered by the outreach officers
15. Filling existing data collection tools and working on the improvement of the existing ones in collaboration with the M&E Manager;
Coordination
16. Maintain coordination with the technical leads from different departments (M&E, GBV, health, and MHPSS ) in order to provide efficient services;
17. Fill and send interagency referral forms and ensure functioning referrals are in place.
18. Coordinating the community activities including community events, FGDs, and awareness sessions with the relevant IMC staff
19. Participate in designing and reviewing the material for the information and awareness-raising sessions targeting the community members
20. Daily management and follow up of material used in outreach activities
21. Ensure good communication and coordination between the outreach teams and the medical doctors, especially with follow-up of the chronic cases who need close monitoring.
Implement direct outreach activities
22. Organize and facilitate support group counseling sessions with the cooperation of the outreach workers and MHPSS team
Other :
23. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to International Medical Corps regulations;
24. Ensure all outreach activities are implemented with respect to COVID‐19 preventive measures such as social distancing and IPC measures for both staff and beneficiaries.
25. Perform any other duty assigned by Supervisor.
26. Able and flexible to travel and stay in Misrata GH.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Advanced command of verbal and written English & Arabic is required.

beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.
