Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator, the Outreach Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of the outreach activities within a protection intervention financed for the PEERS II Project.
The supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the outreach unit team, and is in charge of identifying and monitoring outreach activities for the target beneficiaries.

The Outreach Supervisor will work in close coordination with the program Supervisors, and other relevant technical staff dedicated to this project as well as other transversal roles supporting Cesvi general program: Finance, Operations, and Human Recourses.

Responsibilities and main tasks:

General management and accountability

  • Lead, supervise and mentor the Outreach Officers and volunteers to ensure all unit’s tasks are achieved on time and with the expected quality.
  • Organize regular weekly Team meeting and discuss weekly work plans.
  • Set up and consolidate the Outreach component along with a clear referral pathway
  • Organize life skills and group PSS activities in coordination with the Protection Supervisor
  • Organize awareness sessions and events
  • Maintain relationship and communication with CSOs
  • Oversee the implementation of the Community-led Initiatives
  • Ensure proper documentation at field level and sharing of all the appropriate documents with field staff and Management Staff in Tripoli and Tunis and ensure that the project implementation strictly follows the approved plan.
  • Review the Outreach staff work and review internal reports to ensure numerical accuracy to reflect the work done.
  • In coordination with the Field Coordinator, coordinate the training and capacity building of staff to ensure sound management and accountability systems are in place and observed.

Human Resource Management and training

  • Provide the outreach staff with technical guidance, capacity building and direction for effective implementation and monitoring of the activities.
  • Being responsible for performance management of the outreach staff under PEERS II project.
  • In consultation with the Project Manager and the Specialist to ensure proper training and initiation of capacity building activities for all team members on reporting and documentation.
  • Prepare and follow up Annual Leave Plan for the outreach team in cooperation with the Snr. HR/Finance officer.

Documentation

  • Ensure all reporting commitments are respected, providing reliable information and high-quality inputs.
  • Update relevant databases and tools.
  • Follow up with the MEAL team and ensure all documents are properly filled in, checked for accuracy, and submitted to the related offices.

Networking & Representation

  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders in order to ensure coordination, implementation of common standards in the field and consideration of protection issues.

Reporting to: (Hierarchically and functionally) to the Field Coordinator or in his/her absence to Project Manager.
Duty station: Misrata

Job Requirements

  1. Education: University degree in relevant subject required
    Experience: Relevant experience in field of work required (3 to 4 years). Previous experience working with International NGOs, is a strong asset.
    Skills / Competencies:
  2. Critical and conceptual thinking
  3. Expected to be key contributor to problem solving and a force multiplier in solution roll out
  4. Interpersonal skills: high level of communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills required
  5. Experienced in people management
