The Position:
The position provides functional support in managing the warehouse operations, managing program supplies movements, under the guidance and oversight of UNFPA Country Office (CO) senior management. The position may require to supervise the other junior support staff.

You would be responsible for:
- Safeguarding of UNFPA programme supplies store in the warehouse.
- Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments and supplies to be stored at the warehouse, ensuring both quality, condition and quantity.
- Preparing the goods and supplies for distributing to UNFPA’s partners (e.g. arranging appropriate packaging, ensuring availability of required documents) based on the related requests from program officers.
- Ensuring adequate inventory storage and safeguarding conditions are maintained at all times.
- Assessment of the warehouse used to store inventory on a regular basis as on a regular basis as long as UNFPA inventory continues to be stores therein, and report to be shared with IOM.
- Regular monitoring of products and supplies conditions and any defects or damages identified reported promptly to IOM so that remedial actions can be taken.
- Conducting physical stock count according to UNFPA procedures and guidelines.
- Coordinating and executing all steps necessary for all in and outs stock.
- Assisting the logistic assistant in reconciling on the inventory stock in ST.
- Proving weekly and monthly stock report to the IOM and perspective program managers/officers.
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
- Attending program and operation related meetings.
- Interact and arrange with third party service providers (WFP logistics FP, customs clearance agencies) to ensure proper arrangement for delivery, receiving of supplies at the warehouse.
- Assisting in preparation of last mile assurance reports, quarterly and annual reports on programme supplies movements, stock on hand and transaction details.
- Any other duties as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Completed Secondary Level Education required. First level university degree in public administration, finance, economics other social sciences related disciplines is desirable.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years’ of relevant experience particularly in managing warehousing, stock inventory or related fields is required.
- Knowledge of program supplies management is an advantage.
- Experience of managing pharmaceutical and medical supplies is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
- knowledge of computer software related to inventory management is an asset.
- Languages:
Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic
