Job Overview
Role Purpose
The Project Coordinator will support the delivery of Result Area 2 and 3 of the EU for Civil Society in Libya project. This includes effective events planning and support, logistics, management of risk, compliance and financial control, and support to Civil Society Organisations (CSO’s).
The Project Coordinator will support the core team to adhere to EU Pillar-Assessed Contribution Agreement (PACA) and British Council standards for project, contract and financial management and client liaison.

Main Accountabilities
The Project Coordinator is accountable to the successful delivery of the project Result Area 2 and Result Area 3 to ensure the following:
Programme Management and support
• Delivers a range of administrative within agreed corporate procedures, to maximise quality, continuity, and efficiency
• Maintains accurate records supporting delivery of Resource Centres and the online knowledge resource platform
• Maintains accurate records supporting delivery of grants awarded to civil society organisations
• Performs straightforward analysis, manipulation and interpretation of data, tasks, or information, presenting findings/results accurately and appropriately to support effective maintenance of management information systems
• Provides logistical support to the organisation and delivery of internal and external activities/events, to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
• Proactively communicates and liaises with others to ensure effective coordination and delivery of events, services and activities
• Manage the contractual relationship between the British Council and the operators of the Resource Centres and the online knowledge resource platform and ensure appropriate support
• Positive and productive relationship established and maintained with EUD, CSO, operators of the Resource Centres and Delivery Partners
• Provide representation for the programme and British Council including with decentralised stakeholders and other programmes
Managing Self & Others
• Plans and prioritises own work activities, responding to changing requirements to ensure effective delivery of responsibilities over a daily/weekly time horizon
• Tasks and coordinates others to complete time-limited, straightforward activities, within established procedures, in order to ensure efficient delivery of services. Monitors task completion to agreed quality and time standards.
Finance and Resource Management
• Ensure that financial systems and processes effectively aid operational programme delivery and are compliant with the EU PACA requirements and BC standards
• Monitors and takes responsibility for small-scale resources, following established procedures and ensures that equipment and materials are available and ready to use when needed
• Good financial results against plans and forecasts.
