Job Description
Under the guidance of the Protection Coordinator, this position will provide technical guidance and advices to protection staffs ensuring the different components of the programme are delivered according to internal guidelines and in line with international standards and principles, in order to achieve mission’s goals effectively, according to INTERSOS vision and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to design the protection strategy and provide technical support and assistance to the implementation of protection related activities;
- Contextualize and adapt internal and global guidelines, guarantying these are rolled out and known by staffs;
- Ensure cohesion and harmonization of protection activities and services across the different implementation sites
- Ensure the proper implementation of the capacity building plan of staff and partners in the different field offices
- Ensure the proper implementation of the case management processes in the different field offices through case workers supervision, conduction of cases check, and identification of protection risks and vulnerabilities.
- Plan, design and supervise the implementation of protection monitoring activities in the different locations;
- Ensure the proper implementation of the PSEA strategy in Libya;
- Deliver training and workshops to protection staffs to strength skills on specific protection topics identified;
- Develop Standard Operation Procedures and Guidelines to support the implementation of the different protection activities;
- Ensure that protection data is collected, archived, processed, analyzed and disseminated in ethical modalities, in line with internal data protection protocols
- Maintain effective relationships with Protection, GBV and CP clusters and related working groups at national level
Job Requirements
- University degree in Science, Community Development, Psychology or Social Work degree and/or equivalent practical field experience, preferably with a humanitarian organization;
- Ideally at least 3 years of experience in protection related sectors, including at least 1 year of experience in emergency projects;
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage efficiently multiple priorities, deadlines and tasks
- Proven experience in dealing with community members, local leaders and other stakeholders;
- Experience in conducting research, assessments and interviews is a strong asset;
- Ability to communicate effectively with variety of people, and express oneself in a clear and concise way;
- Strong communication and reporting skills;
- Excellent Arabic spoken and written language skills. Ability to communicate and write in English is an asset;
- Good command of MS Office packet, including good typing skills;
- Excellent team working skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment and under pressure;
- Ability to work under high pressure;
