Qualification | Bachelor’s in Bachelor’s degree in Media, Public Relations, Social Sciences, International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with three years of relevant professional experience (essential). High School Diploma in High school degree with five years of relevant professional work experience. (essential). |
Sector experience | Minimum of Experience working in communications, advocacy, journalism or related area is required; year/s of demonstrable relevant Journalism experience (essential). Minimum of Fully proficient computer skills including use of relevant softwares and other applications (e.g. Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Premiere or Final Cut) is required; year/s of demonstrable relevant Media & Communications experience (essential). Minimum of • Experience of producing visual communication products is desirable; year/s of demonstrable relevant Communication experience (essential). Minimum of Previous working experience in a relevant field with an international organization (IOM, UN etc.) is an advantage; year/s of demonstrable relevant Civil Society & NGO’s experience (essential). Overview of position | Under the direct supervision of the Coordination and Policy Officer (Monitoring and Evaluation / Public Information) and the overall supervision of the Head of PDSU and DCOM, the Public Information and Media Assistant will provide assistance for related activities and will ensure that cooperation with implementing partners is according to agreed action plans. |
