Qualification | Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Bachelor’s degree in Media, Public Relations, Social Sciences, International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with 2 years of relevant professional experience (essential). High School Diploma in High school degree with 4 years of relevant professional work experience. (essential). |
Sector experience | Minimum of Experience working in communications, advocacy, journalism or related area is required year/s of demonstrable relevant Communication experience (essential). Minimum of Fully proficient computer skills including use of relevant softwares and other applications (e.g. Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Premiere or Final Cut) is required year/s of demonstrable relevant Information Technology experience (essential). Minimum of Experience of producing visual communication products is desirable; year/s of demonstrable relevant Other experience (desirable). Minimum of Previous working experience in a relevant field with an international organization (IOM, UN etc.) is an advantage; year/s of demonstrable relevant developing biodiversity plans, strategies, studies & assessments, including working with national & international institutions, civil society, governmental authorities (national, regional, state, local) experience (desirable). Minimum of Good knowledge of MS Office applications e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. year/s of demonstrable relevant PowerApps, Microsoft 365 applications & services, UI / UX design principles, PowerApps development or other low code platforms experience (essential). |
Geographical experience | Minimum of 2 year/s of experience in MENA (essential). |

Overview of position | Under the direct supervision of the Head of PDSU OIC and in close coordination with the Programme Support and Public Information Associate, the candidate will lead the overall media engagement, visibility and public information response in relation to IOM activities in the East of Libya, with particular focus to the Storm Daniel Emergency and Recovery Response. |
