Objectives: Second Engineer (Oli Tankers) – Worldwide |
· Watch-keeping or day work roles, as required by the Chief Engineer · Responsible to the Chief Engineer for the management and supervision of the Engine Department and for the delegation (allocation) of responsibility to the other engineers with reference to routine maintenance · Responsible for the training of the Engine crew in the Engine Room procedures. · Organization of the maintenance/repair work in compliance with the Chief Engineer’s instructions; · Keeps the Record of maintenance/repairs works carried out and works to be carried out; · Ensures a safe working environment in Engine Room; · Supervises that the safe and health working practices are strictly adhered to; · Personnel management of Engine Department, including work/rest hours. · Responsible for handling and care of engine dangerous materials on board |
Key Responsibilities: |
· Ship Management Team · Shipboard Emergency Team · Onboard HSE meetings · Safety at Work and Job Risk Assessment. · Planning of dry-docking |
Participation: |
· 2nd Engineer COC (A-III/2). · Holding valid STCW code A-III/2 certificates (In accordance to the Minimum Safe Manning Document (see IMO Circ. STCW.7/Circ. 24 dd. Feb. 6th, 2017). · Good command of English & MS office skills. · Must pass pre-employment medical including D & A Test. |
Qualification Required / Minimum Requirement: |
· Minimum 3 years of experience on oil Tankers. · 2year related experience in rank. · A good knowledge of the English language is required. Arabic fluency is preferred. · Ability to handle dangerous goods. · Practical computer experience in Word and Excel. |
Minimum Sea Experience: |
· Minimum 3 years of experience on oil Tankers. · Excellent communication skills. · Strong management, leadership, decision-making, problem solving and organizational skills. · Must possess sound computer proficiency. |
