Reproductive Health (RH) Officer

Duty Station: Tripoli with up to 75% travel time to the areas if implementation mainly (Qaser bin Ghashir, Al-Sawani and Aljfara)

Starting Date: As soon as possible.

Duration of Contract: 6 Months with possibility of renewal .

Reporting Line:RHR Advisor

Purpose of the Role

This position will take the lead in the integration of reproductive health (RH) as part of CARE’s Program) Improving health resilience of rural communities & primary health care) and response activities.

The SRH Officer will ensure that the Minimal Initial Service Package (MISP) for Reproductive Health (RH) is integrated into the RH/health activities at the national level.

The RH Officer will lead and support assessments, implementation, training, and interagency coordination with groups such as the health cluster, RH working group, and GBV working groups.

The RH Officer will also closely collaborate and coordinate with all other RH team members, Field Officer and MEAL Assistant to link the development of Global Health Cluster guidelines and tools.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Project Implementation and Coordination of the BMZ project

  • Collect data on key RH aspects from PHCCs located in in rural Tripoli- Targeted areas.
  • Provide RH services to beneficiaries in field. (ANC-PNC-Family planning- STIs management neonatal care).
  • In collaboration with the RH advisor, the RH Officer is responsible for conducting comprehensive MISP training to the targeted PHCCs’ staff (including both secondary and tertiary health care staff) and facilitate the implementation of MIPS in the field.
  • Conduct community-based Health awareness sessions in the targeted PHCCs to support the adaptation of health behaviors and standards of Quality of Care.
  • Support RH advisor in the training of health care providers on SRMNCAH implementation in the targeted PHCCs and referral centers
  • Support RH advisor in developing comprehensive Capacity Building for RH service providers.
  • Under the supervision of the RH advisor, the RH Officer is responsible for all RH-related activities’ implementation across targeted PHCCs.
  • Support the RH advisor to strengthen the existing training curriculum around SRMHCH care module adopted by PHCI.
  • Othe duties requested by the RH advisor that falls under RH activities (10% Maximum)

Well-developed written and oral communication skills. Able to communicate clearly and with sensitivity when engaging with stakeholders as a representative of CARE. This includes effective negotiation and representation skills.

Technical Competencies required

RH field work experience, preferably as an obstetrician and gynecologist with 2-3 years experiences.
· medical degree, or related degree with emphasis on reproductive health
· Previous experience in NGOs (1 year minimum )
· Capacity to develop, implement and analyze health assessments, develop and implement work plans.
