System Administrator

The ideal candidate will design, organize, and modify the company’s computer systems. This individual will evaluate and assess systems to ensure they are operating effectively. Based on assessments, this individual will harness collected knowledge and make adjustments to existing systems.

The Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer responsibilities will include:

Supporting the operation and management of the core Microsoft Windows server functions and services as they pertain to the following:
–   Microsoft Active Directory in a multiple-site architecture
–   System Center
–   Maintain Microsoft Server security
–   Ability to initiate and manage a Windows Server project(s) from inception to completion
–   Ability to troubleshoot Windows Server problems

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Server and system administration support.
• Planning, design, installation, configuration, documentation, system remediation, operations, and maintenance
• Performance tuning, data protection, backup, and recovery;
• Interfacing with vendors and service providers for analysis and troubleshooting

What you will do :

• Assist the Active Directory (AD) Services Team’s Architects in support of three areas: Inter-Forest User Migrations, Account Management and Provisioning, and AD Infrastructure & Enterprise Solutions.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills related to Application remediation.
• Support Active Directory management tools, automation, and backups.
• Maintain a solid understanding of business issues and technical solutions encountered during the migration of single forest or multi-forest Active Directory environments.
• Create training manuals and presentation decks to deliver onsite and online training to Active Directory System Administrators.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projects and interact daily with System Administrators.
• Maintain a strong learning aptitude and ability to learn new technologies independently.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience working with Microsoft AD Architecture, Microsoft ADFS to include Office 365 SaaS services such as Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and One Drive for Business, as well as Azure AD SSO/SAML.
• Additional experience with Microsoft PKI is highly desirable.
• Advanced knowledge in AD architecture and infrastructure (LDAP, Directory Replication, group policy, security, schema changes, domain controllers management).
• Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and Active Directory.
• Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft365 experience.
• Fundamental understanding of DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP.
• Microsoft Exchange and SQL Server.
• VMware vSphere 65 and above.
• Knowledge of backup technologies.
• Knowledge of security practices and policies.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, to present solutions to customers, respond to RFP/RFQ’s, and to develop strong written proposals.

Highly prefer the following certification:

Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
