ESP Ltd. is looking to fill the position of Upstream Chemical Engineer in its Tripoli Office.
Upstream chemical engineer ensures that deliverables to customers are well managed, and service is completed effectively and safely. The individual ensures that production enhancement and chemical services perform at their highest potential.
Should have knowledge to provide all upstream chemical treatment activities at any oilfield in Libya.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct field surveys and trials as requested.
- Run bottle test for Emulsion breaker, Dewax chemicals & Reverse Demulsified.
- Verify that the injection chemicals system is working as designed and that the recommended amount of treatment is injected properly and sufficiently.
- Identify and promote business opportunities.
- Train junior engineers.
- Plan ordering of consumables, equipment and any related items to conduct the jobs properly.
- Prepare and submit service technical reports as required internally and externally.
Required background, skills and experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or any related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience preferably within Oil & Gas business.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
