Job Summary:

Support the department technical lead in the implementation of response and prevention activities in Libya.

Main Tasks:

Program Planning
– Work closely with technical lead, staff, local partner, and community leaders as relevant to plan program interventions.
– Support assessments as required.
– Coordinate with government focal points, local partners, and women’s networks, as appropriate

Implementation and capacity development
– support implementation of relevant program activities
– Ensure effective community participation throughout implementation, including leadership of women and girls
– Oversee distribution of dignity kits and other items, where relevant
– Support community volunteers engaged in outreach Activities, where relevant

Human Resources
– Support recruitment and oversight of Community volunteers, where relevant
– Train and coach community volunteers

Monitoring and Reporting
– Adapt activities accordingly based on community feedback
– Support MEAL with post-distribution monitoring, where relevant
– Monitor and document prevention and risk mitigation program activities
– Contribute to internal and external reports.

Coordination
– Support the development of protocols for information collection and sharing;
– Coordinate with community leaders and women’s groups to strengthen support and information networks;
– Identify strategic collaborations to channel messages and increase access to WGSS.
– Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure field-level coordination and proper functioning of communities’ feedback mechanisms.

Qualifications and Skills:

– Bachelor’s degree in relevant field – law, social work, social sciences, public health, preferred.
– 1 year of relevant experience in humanitarian or development settings (master’s degree can be accepted as 1 year of experience).
– Strong organizational skills and ability to plan, maintain, follow-up and update work plans and maintain strong documentation, filing and archiving of data.
– Clear understanding of and interest in the wellbeing of women and girls, and supporting their healing after the experience of violence.
– Understanding of case management, psychosocial support and life skills programming to promote healing and recovery.
– Excellent understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for beneficiaries.
– Commitment to promoting women and girls’ rights
– Computer skills including Microsoft package.
– communication skills, with a good understanding of relevant cross-cultural and sensitive issues and the ability to gain trust and build relationships with local authorities and new communities.
– Strict adherence to Humanitarian and Protection Standards, and Guiding Principles,
– Positive and professional attitude, including ability to lead and work well in a team setting.
– Strong ability to maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, and work in a difficult environment. Flexible with working hours.
– Strong analytical skills and ability to handle pressure well. Fluency in both Arabic and English is required.
