In response to the situation in Libya, the IRC launched an emergency program in September 2016 which aimed to provide life-saving medical care and integrated protection services. At present, the IRC is conducting health and protection activities in Tripoli and Misrata, expanding its protection department, with a focus on community-based protection, rule of law, child protection, GBV, and MHPSS across all its project locations. The IRC looking for a WPE Facilitator who will oversee the daily activities at the WGSS and facilitating the Girl Shine, Women’s Rise Curriculums
Responsibilities
Conduct information dissemination to women and Adolescents in the community or women already attending the LCSO partner and letting them know about the services and support IRC will be providing.
Plan and organize awareness sessions in WGSS in collaboration with community members, community groups, and any other stakeholder presents in the field when needed.
Schedule with the Local Civil Society Organization (LCSO) manager and see how we can collaborate in providing group psychosocial support to women and girls.
Ensure all logistic aspects for the conduct of the awareness and PSS sessions is in place.
Establish and support community-based groups – women committee and girls committee and support them for conducting outreach activities.
Facilitate sessions focused on building awareness of different themes related to their wellbeing, safety planning, and deliver key messages on GBV.
Share with the WPE officer on a weekly basis all the needed items for the work. With the support of the officer, she can take the lead on the procurement process with supply chain department.
Identify cases through regular contacts and visits in the community and areas of intervention and refer the cases at GBV risk to WPE case workers.
Participate in conducting surveys, safety audits, and service mapping with women and girls committee members.
Deliver daily awareness sessions on GBV issues such as (sexual and reproductive health, early marriage, and protection related issues to women and girls) and on the WGSS and its available services and activities.
Provide information to women and girls and parents/caregivers on services available in the field and create the link between them and service providers present in the area as per the service map.
Involve and follow-up community committee members in organizing and conducting awareness sessions on GBV and protection related issues in collaboration and under the guidance of the WPE case workers supervisor.
Ensuring women and girls benefiting from WGSS services are not exposed to any form of harm or stress during the activities.
Planning, organizing, and conducting emotional support groups and Focus Group Discussion (FGD); recreational and destressing activities, and curriculum for girls
Supporting in ensuring accurate data is collected, entered into the database and detailed analysis provided using the right tools and in consultation with the M&E team and the supervisor.

Qualifications
Job Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field – psychology, sociology, social work, social sciences, public health, etc.
At least 1 year of relevant experience, including implementing PSS activities with vulnerable groups in emergency/conflict or post-conflict settings preferably.
Familiarity with GBV programming, Women’s Empowerment and Protection programming.
Commitment to promote women and girls’ rights and stop GBV.
Demonstrated sensitivity to protection, GBV issues, including application of the principle of confidentiality.
Strict adherence to humanitarian and Protection and GBV Guiding principles and standards, as well as organizational policies including Code of Conduct.
High standard of spoken and written Arabic and English is essential
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word.
Experience in regular report writing.
Proven experience in delivering training and of extremely strong communication skills, with good understanding of relevant cross-cultural and sensitive issues and ability to gain trust and build relationships with new communities.
Demonstrated high level of flexibility, responsiveness, and reliability.
Ability to work under pressure and strong time management skills to meet both short-term and long-term objectives.
