GVC in Libya
Sectors of Intervention:
GVC has been operating in Libya since 2018 through the implementation of the following intervention sectors:
- Humanitarian Aid for host, displaced, migrant and refugee populations through projects promoting access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), primary health, etc.
- Capacity building of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)
- Promoting respect for Human Rights, in connection with the field of humanitarian protection
Location:
GVC has been working in Tripoli. The organization starting new programs in the West of Tripoli and the South of Libya
Job description
The M&E officer is responsible for collecting, analyzing, monitoring, evaluating and properly reporting data on the implemented activities, as well as technically reporting to the Project Manager, ensuring accountability and efficiency of the established data collection system and of the related results according to GVC policies. His/her direct line manager is the Libya National Coordinator.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Establishing and maintaining the program and projects monitoring and evaluation plans.
- Responsible for the timely collection and systematization of data collected at field level and the production of both quantitative and qualitative reports and analysis.
- Preparing consolidated progress reports for program and project activities including achievements challenges and lessons learned to be shared both with the supervisor and externally on a regular basis.
- Ensures regular coordination with the team in the field to guarantee accurate information gathering.
- Checking and case auditing documents and forms used to collect sensitive data according to Protection of Data SOPs.
- Ensure regular presence in the field in order to monitor and evaluate the activities and send regular reports to the project manager.
- Implement a complaint / feedback mechanism
- Translate documents or interpret, when necessary, in the conduct of related duties.
- Any other related tasks requested by the management.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Knowledge
- Computer literate – Basic MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project.
- Arabic native speaker.
- Proficient knowledge of spoken and written and English.
- High Diploma or University degree.
Professional experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.

- Good time-management and organizational skills.
